The Association of Open University Graduates was formed in 1988 to promote the interests of graduates of the University and to support the OU and the standing of its Degrees and Awards.

AOUG is an international organisation, based at the University campus in Milton Keynes. It is an incorporated body under the Companies Acts, with a democratically elected National Committee comprising five Officers and Representatives from each of the University’s thirteen Regions. There are, additionally, group activities in Ireland, continental Europe and in Singapore.

Membership of the Association is by annual subscription, currently £15 twelve montly. UK Residents and BFPO addresses or £17.50 (E28) Non UK Residents.

All members receive copies of the Association’s magazine OMEGA. This covers University matters, includes articles by and about graduates and contains Regional news giving details of the wide variety of educational, social and outdoor events available to members and their friends.

The Annual General Meeting of the Association, held at a different centre each year provides an opportunity for members to discuss and vote on policy matters and to meet other OU graduates from the United Kingdom and overseas.
