Obtaining a membership form

  • All new Open University Graduates receive a mailing which informs them of their qualification of their degree. This includes an AOUG welcome leaflet with a membership form on the back.
  • You can download a membership form here. You will need Adobe Reader to view it, which you can download here.

All forms should be completed and returned to the AOUG Office

Subscription

Membership is by an annual subscription, which runs for 12 months from the date of payment.

  • Single UK or BFPO Membership: £15.00
  • Single Overseas Membership: £17.50 or 28 euros
  • Joint UK Membership: £27.00
  • Joint Overseas Membership: £27.00 or 35 euros

(Both of the joint members have full voting rights but they receive only one copy of each edition of OMEGA)

All payments can be by Direct Debit, Standing Order, Credit or Debit Card, or Cheque. Cash payments can be accepted at degree ceremonies.

Personal  Identification Number

All graduates applying for membership must supply their Personal Identification Number as issued by Open University when they first registered for study.

Maintaining Membership

Members are asked where possible to set up Direct Debit or Standing Order payments to prevent the risk of their membership accidentally lapsing.
All members paying by other methods are sent reminder letters, the month before their renewal is due, and a second reminder if they have not paid by their renewal date. This is of course costly to AOUG in both time and money, and risks the lapsed member losing their democratic rights.
