Welcome to AOUG in the North (09)
I gained a BSc.Hons (Open) from The Open University in 2001. I was previously the representative for Region 09 North of the Association of Open University Graduates for some time. I have supported the AOUG for many years and am also a member of the OU Shakespeare Society. I also have a PGCert at Masters Level in Education and Development from a local university. I have worked in health and education and believe in Life Long Learning and community participation and in Newcastle I volunteer and work in the community encouraging people of all age groups in regard to health and education. I am a School Governor and a Governor with the Ambulance Foundation Trust. My husband and I continue with our interest in the theatre and I paint and write poetry and help him keep our garden tidy.
I would like to use my support of the AOUG to benefit members and to promote the aims and objectives of The Open University now and in the future. Please contact me with ideas for events and discussion groups, let’s keep promoting the bond between the AOUG and the OU.
