Although our Region is very long, stretching from Milton Keynes in the North down to the Channel Islands, it is very active. There are several local groups within the region, but there is plenty of scope for more; so, if you want to arrange an event, or even start another local group, please let me know, and I will do all I can to help you. Perhaps your place of work would be a suitable venue for a visit. What interests you?

AOUG members and their guests from other Regions are always welcome. Maybe you have not previously attended one of our events, in which case if you contact the event organiser, who is usually the Local Contact, they will look out for you. Typically, the organiser will carry a copy of OMEGA or, in my case, a mouse mat bearing a large OMEGA symbol; waving the latter at total strangers can get me some odd looks!

Since the Calendar of Events has to be arranged well in advance, there is always the possibility that circumstances may dictate a change, or even cancellation. It is, therefore, often a good idea to contact the organiser near to the event. Members who give AOUG their e-mail address can be notified directly of any changes, but this works only if that address is current.
