An investigation into gender equity and inclusion in corporate training and development programmes.
Training theory and practice do not recognize the role of sex/gender. I developed a sex/gender sensitive model of training, outlining the significant impact of sex/gender on training experiences. Subsequently, my case study highlighted that the discourse of sex/gender-neutral training maintains the status quo of female underrepresentation and may actually produce inequity.
