July 25 @ 11:00 am

Meet at the entrance to the Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty, St Cross Road, Winchester, SO23 9SD. Described as England’s oldest and most perfect almshouse, founded by the grandson of William the Conqueror, it still provides shelter for twenty five elderly men. It provides the ‘Wayfarer’s Dole’ of wine and bread. The chapel dates from about 1385. Parking on site is very limited. Bluestar bus 1 runs from the City Centre, or it is a 30 minutes’ walk from the station. (https://www.visitwinchester.co.uk/app/uploads/2018/05/Keats-Walk-Leaflet.pdf).
