Ripon Cathedral – 07

Meet in the ‘Cathedral View Cafe’, 2 Bedern Bank, Ripon, HG4 1PE prior to visitring Ripon Cathedral. This beautiful medieval cathedral has an intriguing Anglo-SAxon crypt dating from 672, the opldest structure of any cathedrals in England still in use today. You will find unusual treasures of art and design at every turn, some of which inspired the writing of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Car parking is available in Sainsbury’s but check their time allowances as you might need to pay. Howeve entry to the cAthedral is free. Lunch can be taken later in a cafe nearby.
