If you want to join us just for the Castle visit, please let me know in advance and we will meet you in the Café at 1pm.     Saturday 20th June. 10am Meet for coffee in the Old Court Room in at St Albans Museum, Town Hall, St Peter's Street, St Albans, AL1 3DH so we can then head outside at an appropriate time for ‘The Alban Pilgrimage’. The Pilgrimage starts at 11am and works its way through the town before heading towards the Cathedral where there will be a Eucharist at noon for those that would like to attend. The museum is in a Grade I listed building and houses permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. Bury St Edmunds station is on the Ipswich to Cambridge/Ely line and about fifteen minutes’ walk away, with bus or taxi alternatives. Long stay parking is available in the town centre.

Guided tours are available. The carpark is near the House and Tea Room, while the nearest station is Stevenage, a few miles away, requiring a bus or taxi connection. The House dates from Tudor times, with Victorian additions, and has undergone recent and ongoing restoration.  It is the seat of the Lytton family, with links to literature, politics and foreign service, while the Park is perhaps best known for hosting pop/rock concerts for over fifty years.
