An irregular bus service 54 is the nearest public transport. Uppark is a fine country house\, built in 1690\, set in large grounds\, with outstanding views across the South Downs. Guided tours of the house (£10 in 2025) must be booked in advance via https://www.nationaltrust-tickets.org.uk/event-tickets; alternatively\, join us for a light lunch about 1pm.

Shieldhall\, to the Eastern Solent\, with full musical entertainment provided by Southampton Salty Sea Dogs Shanty Crew. SS Shieldhall is the last operational steam ship in the UK and is on the Historic Ships Register. Full refreshments available on board. The fare is £49.00 and may only be booked via www.ss-shieldhall.co.uk. \nThere is no public transport available to the ship’s berth\, and\, as cruise ships will be in port\, traffic will be heavy. \nThis event is being organised jointly with the OU Music Society. \n  \n  \n
