Meet at ‘Grane café’, 3, Royal Parade, Harrogate, HG1 1HG close to the train station for coffee in this popular North Yorkshire spa town, in which the first mineral spring was discovered in 1571. Then we walk to visit the Mercer Art Gallery which is free to enter and has changing exhibitions. Next to the train station is the Victoria Car Park with a vehicle recognition machine on entry and for those with limited mobility the No 36 red/black double-decker bus Leeds to Ripon can be caught at the bus station, alighting at the Royal Hall stop, then a short walk to the Gallery.
