Friday 2nd October 2026 Join us for a celebration of the work of Open University research students in Room 2 in the Michael Young Building on The Open University campus, Walton Hall, Milton Keynes MK7 6AA. The Award Ceremony will begin at 12noon with the doors opening at 11.30am and recognises the achievements of Phd students, that have been nominated by their Supervisors. There will be displays for each student and about the AOUG Foundation for Education charity. Then following a introduction by the AOUG Chairman, the Supervisors will introduce their student and then the student will receive a framed certificate from the AOUG Chairman and a Welcome Pack about our Association. During the lunch break, when both formal and informal photographs will be taken, and there will be an opportunity to view all the students' displays. Then there will be our Annual Foundation Lecture. This is to be presented this year by Lauren Rose, recipient of the AOUG 2025 John Veysey Bursary, about her research - 'Using Creative Participatory Methods to Explore Children's Physical Activity Experiences Through the Transition into Secondary School''.
