Next year’s AGM and Social Weekend is to be held from 2nd to 4th June at the Cedar Court Hotel, in Harrogate, Yorkshire and the social activities for the weekend are now confirmed. On the Friday you will be able to sample the delights of Viking York with a trip back in time at the Jorvik Museum. Saturday gives you an opportunity to see the grandeur of stately living at Harewood House and then on Sunday a Walking Tour of Harrogate with the bonus of the possibility of a coffee at the famous Betty’s Tea Room.
Remember adult family and friends are welcome to attend with you and an extra excursion to RHS Harrow Carr Gardens will be available for them whilst AOUG members attend the formal Saturday morning meetings.
Then as well as the excursions, there will be an in-house entertainment on the Friday evening and our Gala Dinner on the Saturday evening after which we can hear about Yorkshire’s literary connections and later enjoy the sounds of the sixties from Peter Piper, professional musician, who is also an OU Tutor and an AOUG member.
