This is a Grade I listed country house built in 1732 surrounded by Grade II* listed gardens set in the heart of a traditional agricultural estate. Saturday 17th October. 11am Meet in the café of Derby Museum and Art Gallery, The Strand, Derby, DE1 1BS which is situated in the Ceramics Gallery before wandering the galleries. The special exhibition will be ‘Wright of Derby: From the Shadows’; Joseph Wright produced works of art that explore the use of light and many of his works remain in his hometown. Entrance to the Museum is free.
Saturday 21st November. 11am Meet at Clumber Park, Clumber Road, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 3BE in the Turning Yard café close to the accessible car park. There is much to explore, the Gothic style chapel, walled kitchen garden as well as a lakeside walk and trees, hopefully, in their full Autumn glory. This is a National Trust property.
