Hepworth Art Gallery

Saturday 14th June. 11am Meet in the café at the Hepworth Art Gallery, Gallery Walk, Wakefield WF1 5AW prior to viewing the artwork. Entry is free to all Wakefield District residents with appropriate identification and to all children under 18 years. Otherwise, entry is £14 or £12.50 concessions at the door, or £1 cheaper in advance online. The Gallery houses a permanent exhibition exploring Barbara Hepworth’s studio environment, her tools, materials and works created in her later life. As well as drawings, lithographs and screen prints, it includes forty-four surviving prototypes in plaster, aluminium and wood. These prototypes were considered just a stage in the process of casting a bronze or aluminium work.
